I spent eight years as the content and training lead inside industrial safety operations — the person responsible for whether a crew in the field actually understood the thing they had been sent to do. That work taught me the failure mode of most training software: it is built for the person who buys it rather than the person standing on a job site with a phone and four minutes.

I now build the software myself. In 2026 I shipped three production systems, solo:

• A four-surface learning platform — a public site, a team platform in daily use, a paid academy and a demo, on Cloudflare Workers with no framework and no build step. 355 commits, 40 gated check suites, 28 forward migrations across two databases.
• A community cemetery finder — map, walking directions and a 3D walk mode, one codebase shipping to web and native, live on two domains. 318 commits and 50 test files, all mine.
• A rescued film portfolio — moved off a host that was being shut down, rebuilt with no framework and no dependencies, 248 MB of originals down to 15 MB with the gallery mapping recovered exactly.

The part I would want to talk about in an interview is not the volume. It is that I did not type most of that code. I specified it, reviewed it, and wired the gates that catch it when it is wrong — a deploy script that refuses on the first red suite, forward-only migrations that are never edited after they run, a staging guard that will not call a record synthetic without two independent marks. Speed without those is a liability. With them it is leverage, and it is the reason one person could ship four live surfaces in three weeks.

Twenty years of video production sits underneath all of it. I have directed shoots for Amazon, Apple, Penske and TD Bank, and I still write the shooting plan and cut the course videos for the platform I build. That combination is unusual and it is the whole point: I can take a learning product from the shooting script through the delivery system to the analytics that say whether anyone finished it.
